Anti-SPINK1 Antibody

This polyclonal rabbit antibody targets SPINK1 (Serine Peptidase Inhibitor Kazal Type 1), a Kazal-family trypsin inhibitor also called pancreatic secretory trypsin inhibitor (PSTI) that protects the pancreas from premature zymogen activation. Loss-of-function mutations in SPINK1 are causally associated with hereditary and tropical chronic pancreatitis, while elevated expression has been documented in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, gastric tumors, and prostate cancer, supporting its use as a tissue biomarker in oncology research. The unconjugated reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of rabbit-derived antiserum and is intended for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples.
