The Anti-SPATA16 polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit-hosted primary reagent raised against the human SPATA16 protein for research applications in reproductive biology. SPATA16 (spermatogenesis-associated protein 16) is a testis-enriched factor involved in male germ cell development, and pathogenic variants in the gene have been reported in clinical genetics studies of patients with globozoospermia and idiopathic male infertility, making the protein a focus for groups investigating sperm differentiation, meiotic progression, and infertility mechanisms.

Validated applications include Western blot for protein-level detection across cell and tissue lysates, and immunohistochemistry for localizing SPATA16 expression in fixed tissue sections such as human testis. The reagent is supplied as an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antiserum in 100 µL, giving laboratories the flexibility to pair it with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents depending on the assay design. Confirmed reactivity is against human samples, with rabbit as the host species and polyclonal as the clonality.

For handling, store the vial at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light during active use; short-term refrigeration is acceptable. The product is intended for research use only and is suited to studies of spermatogenesis, germ cell biology, and the molecular basis of male-factor infertility.
