Anti-SPARC Antibody

Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified by epitope-specific chromatography, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is directed against SPARC (Secreted Protein Acidic and Rich in Cysteine) and is offered at the 50 µl pack size at a concentration of 1 mg/mL. The immunogen is a synthesized peptide derived from the internal region of human SPARC, and the antibody recognizes endogenous levels of SPARC protein in human, mouse, and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies of extracellular matrix biology, osteogenesis, and tumour-stroma interactions. It is supplied unconjugated in a liquid PBS buffer containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide, and is validated for Western blotting (WB) and ELISA applications. The antibody is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. As a polyclonal reagent, it offers broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, which is particularly useful when probing for SPARC isoforms, post-translational modifications, or partial degradation products.
