Anti-SPAG1 Antibody

This unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets SPAG1 (Sperm-Associated Antigen 1), a protein widely studied in the context of ciliary and flagellar biology. SPAG1 is essential for the assembly and stability of outer dynein arms in motile cilia, and loss-of-function variants in the SPAG1 gene are linked to primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD), a genetically heterogeneous disorder characterized by impaired mucociliary clearance, recurrent respiratory infections, situs inversus, and male infertility due to reduced sperm motility.

Raised in rabbit and purified as an IgG preparation, the reagent is supplied at 100 µl volume and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples. It is useful for investigating SPAG1 expression in testis, respiratory epithelium, and other ciliated tissues, as well as for characterizing patient-derived cells or model systems carrying SPAG1 mutations.
