SOX17 is a SRY-related HMG-box transcription factor that directs definitive endoderm specification, cardiovascular lineage commitment, and pluripotency maintenance in embryonic stem cells. It also functions as a tumor suppressor in several solid tumor settings through epigenetic silencing and antagonism of canonical Wnt signaling. The Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit, supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, and packaged as a 100 µl vial ready for Western blot workflows.

Validated for Western blot, the reagent cross-reacts with Human, Rat, and Mouse samples, supporting comparative studies across rodent disease models, primary human tissue, and human cell lines. Typical loads of 10–30 µg total protein per lane resolve the expected band, and aliquots are stored frozen at -20 °C to preserve activity across multiple experiments. Researchers apply this reagent to confirm definitive endoderm differentiation in iPSC and ESC protocols, to assess SOX17 methylation and silencing status in tumor lysates, and to probe signaling crosstalk within cardiac progenitor populations. The polyclonal format provides multi-epitope coverage, which is valuable when analyzing post-translationally modified SOX17 isoforms.
