Anti-SOD-2 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against the internal region of human SOD-2 (superoxide dismutase 2, the mitochondrial MnSOD isoform) and is supplied as a 50 µL liquid aliquot at a concentration of 1 mg/mL. The antibody has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, and is provided unconjugated in a PBS buffer containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. It is validated for Western Blot (WB) and ELISA applications, with demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse and Rat samples, and is intended for research use only. Endogenous levels of SOD-2 protein are detected by this polyclonal antibody, making it suitable for studies of oxidative stress and mitochondrial antioxidant defense. The antibody is shipped at 4 °C; upon arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve performance.
