Sourced from Antibodies.com, this affinity‑purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against human SNCA (alpha‑synuclein) and supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot at 1 mg/ml in phosphate‑buffered saline (PBS), pH ~7.3, containing 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. Because the formulation is unconjugated, it is suitable for downstream labeling with the researcher's preferred reporter and for direct capture on Western blot membranes. The host species is rabbit and the clonality is polyclonal, providing a pool of epitope‑recognizing IgG molecules that bind multiple regions of the target for robust detection of endogenous SNCA in human, mouse and rat samples. Validation has been carried out for Western blot (WB) as the primary application, making this reagent well suited to studies of alpha‑synuclein expression, aggregation and phosphorylation status in Parkinson's disease and related synucleinopathy models. The antibody is reactive against SNCA (also known as alpha‑synuclein, NACP, PARK1, or non‑A beta component of AD amyloid), with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 14 kDa for the monomeric protein. For short‑term use the vial should be kept at 2–8 °C; for long‑term storage it is recommended to aliquot and store at –20 °C in single‑use fractions to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. This product is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications. Pair it with an appropriate HRP‑ or fluorophore‑conjugated secondary antibody and standard ECL or fluorescent detection chemistries for clean, reproducible Western blot signals across cell lysates, brain tissue homogenates and recombinant SNCA controls.
