The SNAP23 (Synaptosomal-Associated Protein, 23 kDa) target is a ubiquitously expressed t-SNARE protein that mediates vesicle fusion with the plasma membrane during regulated exocytosis. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com has been validated for western blot analysis and immunohistochemistry, giving laboratories a flexible tool for studying membrane trafficking, insulin granule release, and synaptic vesicle docking in neural and endocrine tissues.

Raised in rabbit as an IgG preparation and supplied unconjugated at 50 µl per vial, the antibody binds the endogenous SNAP23 protein in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species experimental design without the need for separate reagents. Researchers commonly apply it to characterise SNARE complex assembly, investigate insulin secretion pathways in pancreatic beta cells, and profile synaptic protein distribution in brain tissue sections.

Because the reagent is supplied unconjugated, it can be paired with various secondary labels depending on the detection platform, including HRP, biotin, or fluorescent conjugates for multiplex imaging. The polyclonal nature of the antibody provides recognition of multiple epitopes on the SNAP23 protein, which can be advantageous when working with samples that may exhibit variable expression or post-translational modification of the target.
