Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is designed for the detection of SMYD3 (SET and MYND domain-containing protein 3), a histone lysine methyltransferase that methylates H3K4 and H4K5 and is implicated in transcriptional regulation and certain cancers. The unconjugated IgG is supplied as a 50 µL vial at approximately 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as stabiliser, and the preparation is reported to be greater than 95% pure. The antibody has been validated for use in Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), with reactivity confirmed against human and mouse samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies of endogenous SMYD3 expression in cell lysates and tissue sections. As a polyclonal reagent, it offers broad epitope coverage of the target, and being unconjugated it can be freely paired with secondary antibodies of the researcher's choice, including HRP-, biotin- or fluorophore-conjugated anti-rabbit IgGs, depending on the downstream application. Recommended short-term storage is at 4 °C for up to one month, while for longer-term stability the vial should be kept at –20 °C and protected from repeated freeze–thaw cycles to preserve activity. This product is intended for research use only and is offered within the Primary Antibodies category of the Antibodies.com catalogue.
