Anti-SMN2 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against SMN2 (also referred to as SMN/Gemin 1) and supplied as an unconjugated liquid preparation. It is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation, and it reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 1-197 of human SMN2 (NP_059107.1). The target protein has a molecular weight of 32 kDa. The antibody is formulated in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) with 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide, and is purified by affinity chromatography. It is shipped at 4°C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.

Recommended working dilutions are 1:500-1:2,000 for WB, 1:50-1:200 for IHC, 1:50-1:200 for ICC/IF, and 1:50-1:100 for IP. Concentration is lot specific.
