Anti-SMC3 (phospho-S1083) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal reagent supplied by Antibodies.com that recognises SMC3 only when phosphorylated at serine 1083. The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot and reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

It is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2. The target protein runs at ~ 141 kDa, and the reagent has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, with purity reported as > 95% by SDS-PAGE.

Specificity is restricted to endogenous levels of SMC3 when phosphorylated at Ser1083, as defined by a synthetic peptide immunogen corresponding to residues in human SMC3 around the phosphorylation site.
