From Antibodies.com, this antibody clone KT75 recognises the cohesin complex subunit SMC3, a core component required for sister chromatid cohesion, accurate chromosome segregation during mitosis, and DNA double-strand break repair. The reagent is a rat IgG2a monoclonal supplied as a 100 ug liquid aliquot and has been validated for western blot detection of endogenous mouse SMC3. Expected band size is approximately 140 kDa on SDS-PAGE. For long-term storage, keep aliquots frozen at -20 degrees C and protect from light; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and store refrigerated at 4 degrees C for short-term use. Research use only.
