Anti-SMC1 (Ab-957) Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against a synthetic peptide spanning amino acids 955–959 (G-S-S-Q-G) of human SMC1, enabling selective detection of the endogenous structural maintenance of chromosomes protein 1. The antibody is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL aliquot, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, and is presented unconjugated with an IgG isotype. Affinity-purified by epitope-specific peptide chromatography after immunization with KLH-conjugated peptide, the antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications on human samples, where it recognizes total SMC1. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
