Affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targeting SMARCE1 (also called BAF57), a core accessory subunit of the mammalian SWI/SNF ATP-dependent chromatin-remodeling complex. SMARCE1 participates in nucleosome repositioning and influences transcription of lineage-specifying genes; loss-of-function mutations are linked to Coffin-Siris syndrome and to several solid tumors, making this antibody a useful reagent for chromatin and cancer-biology laboratories.

The reagent is provided as 200 µl of liquid polyclonal antiserum at approximately 1 mg/ml in a glycerol-containing buffer, unconjugated so that it can be paired with any fluorophore- or HRP-labeled secondary reagent of the user's choice. It recognizes endogenous SMARCE1 in human and mouse samples and has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, with the expected target band migrating at approximately 46 kDa on SDS-PAGE.

In Western blot the antibody is used to compare SMARCE1 abundance across treated and control lysates; in immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections it reveals tissue-level distribution; and in immunofluorescence it shows the characteristic nuclear localization consistent with BAF57's role in chromatin remodeling. The vial should be stored at -20 °C and is intended for research use only.
