Raised in rabbit and purified by affinity chromatography against the immunogen, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets SMARCE1 (also known as BAF57), a core subunit of the SWI/SNF chromatin-remodeling complex. The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl) containing 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and the catalogue unit offered here is a 50 µL aliquot. It is unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, and the immunogen used for immunization is a recombinant human SMARCE1 protein, which allows the reagent to detect endogenous levels of total SMARCE1 across species. Validated applications cover Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), and the antibody has been confirmed to react with human, mouse and rat samples. For best stability, the supplier recommends storage at –20 °C, where the glycerol-containing buffer protects the protein through repeated freeze/thaw cycles; the product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications. Researchers studying BAF complex composition, nucleosome remodeling, or the role of SMARCE1 in transcription factor recruitment will find this reagent useful for probing chromatin extracts and fixed tissue sections alike.
