The Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody recognizes SMARCD3, the BAF60c subunit of the mammalian SWI/SNF ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation in a 200 µl volume, this reagent supports Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows against human samples. SMARCD3 contributes to chromatin remodeling at target loci and has been studied in the context of cardiac and skeletal muscle differentiation, where BAF60c partners with transcription factors such as MYOD and TBX5 to drive lineage-specific gene programs.

SMARCD3 has also been implicated in nuclear hormone receptor signaling, including retinoic acid receptor-mediated transcription, and in oncogenic contexts where altered SWI/SNF subunit composition influences proliferation and differentiation states. The unconjugated format allows flexibility for downstream labeling with fluorophores, HRP, or biotin depending on experimental design. For Western blot, samples are typically prepared in standard lysis buffer and separated by SDS-PAGE before transfer to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes. For immunofluorescence, cells can be fixed and permeabilized using standard protocols prior to incubation with the primary antibody.

This polyclonal reagent is intended for research use only. Storage recommendations for liquid preparations generally call for aliquoting and freezing at -20 °C in single-use portions to preserve activity and limit freeze-thaw cycles; working aliquots may be refrigerated short-term. Brief centrifugation prior to opening helps recover the full volume.
