Available through Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is raised in rabbit and is provided as a polyclonal antiserum specific for SMARCC1 (also known as BAF155, CRACC1, Rsc8 and SRG3), a core subunit of the SWI/SNF chromatin-remodelling complex. The product is supplied at 1 mg/ml in a 50 µl vial of unconjugated antibody and is formulated for direct use in standard immunoassays without the need for secondary labelling. The immunoglobulin isotype is IgG, and the antibody is purified by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen derived from recombinant full-length human SMARCC1, with purity reported to exceed 95% by SDS-PAGE. Endogenous SMARCC1 protein is detected in samples of human, mouse and rat origin, with the SWI/SNF complex subunit migrating at approximately 123 kDa and 160 kDa. The reagent has been validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence/immunocytochemistry (IF), immunoprecipitation (IP) and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), making it a versatile choice for studies of chromatin remodelling, transcription regulation and BAF complex function. For routine use, the antibody should be stored continuously at -20 °C to preserve activity, with short-term handling on ice recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Each lot is supplied as a ready-to-dilute liquid suitable for both denaturing and native immunoprecipitation workflows, and is intended for research use only.
