Anti-SMARCA4 (6D7) Antibody

Sourced through Antibodies.com, this Mouse monoclonal reagent (clone 6D7) is directed against SMARCA4, also known as BRG1, the ATP-dependent helicase that forms the catalytic core of the SWI/SNF chromatin-remodelling complex. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl liquid preparation of an unconjugated, purified IgG1 molecule. It was raised in mouse ascites and affinity-purified against an epitope-specific immunogen consisting of recombinant human BRG1 protein fragments expressed in E. coli, with purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. The formulation is a 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer at pH 7.4 containing 150 mM NaCl, 50% glycerol and 0.2% sodium azide as preservative. The reagent is validated for Western blot (recommended at 1:1000), immunofluorescence / immunocytochemistry (1:50–1:200) and immunoprecipitation (1:50–1:200), and it reacts with both Human and Mouse samples, where it specifically detects the endogenous ~220 kDa BRG1 band without cross-reacting with related proteins. For stability, the vial should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C for long-term use, with short-term handling at 4 °C; repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided.
