SMARCA4, also known as BRG1, is the catalytic ATPase subunit of the SWI/SNF (BAF) chromatin remodeling complex, a multi-subunit assembly that mobilizes nucleosomes and regulates transcription, DNA repair, and cell differentiation. This mouse monoclonal antibody, clone 6D7, was raised against SMARCA4 and recognizes the endogenous ~185 kDa BRG1 protein in human and mouse samples. It is validated for Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation, supporting studies of BAF complex composition, nucleosome remodeling mechanisms, and SMARCA4 loss-of-function in cancer biology. Supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of purified IgG in an unconjugated format, the reagent is formulated in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) with 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol; store refrigerated and protect from light to preserve antibody activity. The unconjugated presentation lets researchers pair the primary with their preferred fluorophore- or HRP-conjugated secondary, making it adaptable to immunofluorescence imaging, immunoprecipitation of BAF complexes, and Western blot detection of endogenous BRG1 across a range of sample types.
