Anti-Smad3 (Phospho-Thr179) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets Smad3 phosphorylated at threonine 179 and is validated for Western blotting (WB). It is unconjugated and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a peptide sequence around the threonine 179 phosphorylation site (P-E-T(p)-P-P) derived from human Smad3. The antibody detects endogenous levels of Smad3 only when phosphorylated at threonine 179. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates, purified by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide, and non-phospho-specific antibodies were removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide.

The product is supplied in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL. It is shipped at 4 °C; upon delivery, aliquot and store at -20 °C and avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
