Anti-Smad3 (phospho-S425) Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets Smad3 when phosphorylated at Serine 425. It was generated using a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Smad3 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 425, and is provided unconjugated in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) at 1 mg/ml with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2.

The reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, with confirmed use on Human, Mouse and Rat samples. Its binding is restricted to endogenous Smad3 only when phosphorylated at Ser425, as supported by affinity-purification from rabbit antiserum using the epitope-specific immunogen, yielding a purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. The antibody recognises bands at approximately 48 and 55 kDa.
