Anti-Smad2 (phospho-S467) Antibody

Manufactured as a rabbit polyclonal reagent against Smad2 phosphorylated at Ser467, this unconjugated primary antibody is offered by Antibodies.com for research use. The product is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2, and has been validated for use in Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications.

Reactive with human, mouse and rat samples, it was raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Smad2 around the phosphorylation site of serine 467, and specifically detects endogenous levels of Smad2 protein only when phosphorylated at Ser467. The target protein has a reported molecular weight of approximately 60 kDa.

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, with purity reported as > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
