Anti-Smad2 Antibody

A mouse monoclonal primary antibody supplied by Antibodies.com for Western blot detection of Smad2, the intracellular mediator of TGF-β / activin signaling that translocates to the nucleus upon receptor activation to regulate target gene transcription. The reagent is provided as 100 µl of purified immunoglobulin in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, supplied in a single vial and recommended for storage at -20 °C in aliquots to preserve activity through repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Conjugated to no reporter, the antibody enables flexible downstream assay design, including chemiluminescent Western blot with HRP-labeled secondary reagents, fluorescent Western blot with appropriately labeled secondaries, and immunoprecipitation workflows.
