Raised in rabbit against the Smad1 transcription factor, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com supports BMP signaling pathway studies across multiple experimental systems. Smad1 functions as a downstream mediator of bone morphogenetic protein receptors, translocating to the nucleus upon phosphorylation to regulate gene expression during osteogenesis, neural development, and cellular differentiation.
The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. Supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the vial format is stable for freezer storage at -20 °C and is suitable for immunoblotting of phosphorylated Smad1 in BMP-treated cell lysates as well as tissue-level localization experiments. Researchers studying TGF-β superfamily signal transduction, chondrogenesis, and developmental biology pathways rely on this reagent for reproducible detection of endogenous Smad1 levels.
