Anti-Smad1 (Ab-465) Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL and is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. The product is a polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit, raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the region around amino acids 461–465 (I-S-S-V-S) of human Smad1, and it is unconjugated, with an IgG isotype. It is validated for use in Western Blot (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications and is reported to react with human Smad1, where it detects the endogenous total Smad1 protein. The antibody belongs to the SMAD family of signal transducers and is intended for research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. For storage, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; upon arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided in order to preserve activity.
