This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets SLP-76 (SH2 domain-containing leukocyte protein of 76 kDa), encoded by the LCP2 gene, an adapter protein essential for T cell receptor signaling, immune synapse formation, and downstream ZAP-70 substrate phosphorylation. Raised in rabbit, the unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, shipped as a 100 µl vial intended for multiple experiments.

Validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, the reagent has been tested on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of thymocyte development, cytoskeletal reorganization, mast cell activation, and platelet signaling in relevant model systems. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the SLP-76 target, which can be advantageous when probing low-abundance signaling complexes or conformational variants in primary immune cell lysates.

For best results, store the vial at -20°C, protected from light, in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve activity over time. Researchers commonly use this antibody to investigate TCR-mediated signal transduction cascades, examine adaptor protein recruitment to the immunological synapse, and characterize hematopoietic cell populations in both healthy and disease contexts.
