Anti-SLC6A8 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the SLC6A8 creatine transporter, a sodium- and chloride-dependent membrane protein that mediates cellular creatine uptake. SLC6A8 is widely expressed in skeletal muscle, heart, kidney, and brain, where it supports phosphocreatine-driven replenishment of cellular ATP pools. Research applications include investigation of X-linked creatine transporter deficiency, a neurodevelopmental disorder associated with intellectual disability, speech delay, seizures, and behavioral abnormalities, as well as broader studies of muscle bioenergetics, cardiac energetics, and neuronal energy metabolism.
