Anti-SLC6A1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal IgG reagent, this unconjugated primary antibody targets the SLC6A1 transporter (GAT-1), a sodium- and chloride-dependent GABA uptake protein expressed in central nervous system neurons. Supplied by Antibodies.com as 50 µl of liquid, it is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. Because the antigen is a multi-pass membrane transporter, the reagent is most useful for researchers studying inhibitory neurotransmission, synaptic GABA clearance, and the link between SLC6A1 loss-of-function variants and developmental or epileptic encephalopathies. The polyclonal format increases the chance of recognising multiple epitopes across the GAT-1 sequence, supporting detection in transfected cell lines as well as native brain tissue.
