Anti-SLC3A2 Antibody

SLC3A2 associates covalently with several light-chain amino acid transporters, including LAT1, LAT2, xCT, y+LAT1, y+LAT2 and asc-1, to form functional heterodimeric complexes at the plasma membrane. Because the heavy chain localises to integrin-containing adhesion complexes at the leading edge of migrating cells, this reagent is frequently used by researchers studying integrin signalling, cell migration and tumour-cell amino acid uptake. The 50% glycerol formulation allows storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw cycling, while the sodium azide permits short-term handling at refrigerator temperature without microbial contamination.

For western blot, the antibody is applied to whole-cell lysates from cultured human or mouse cell lines, where it recognises the expected ~85 kDa band. In immunohistochemistry, it produces membrane-associated staining consistent with the protein's surface localisation.
