Raised in rabbit against the human SLC39A9 (ZIP9) zinc transporter, this unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl volume at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

SLC39A9 is a Golgi- and plasma-membrane-associated member of the ZIP family of metal ion transporters that mediates zinc uptake into the cytoplasm, and it has been linked to research on cellular zinc homeostasis, testosterone-coupled membrane androgen receptor signaling in fish and mammalian systems, and zinc-dependent immune and endocrine pathways.

Reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat SLC39A9 orthologues, enabling cross-species comparisons on Western blot membranes prepared from standard laboratory models. The reagent is validated specifically for Western blot detection of the target band in cell and tissue lysates and is provided unconjugated, allowing investigators to pair it with their preferred reporter enzyme or fluorophore for chemiluminescent or fluorescent immunoblotting workflows.

As a polyclonal reagent, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes on the transporter, supporting consistent signal intensity across membranes. The 0.05% sodium azide acts as an antimicrobial preservative, and the 100 µl volume is delivered in a vial format suited to routine bench use.
