This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets SLC39A7, a member of the SLC39 zinc transporter family that resides in endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi membranes where it controls intracellular zinc release for signaling and metallation reactions. Raised in rabbits and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, it is validated for western blot detection of endogenous SLC39A7 in cell lysates and for immunocytochemistry visualization of subcellular localization patterns. The reagent has been confirmed to react with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species comparative work on zinc homeostasis, ER stress responses, and downstream signaling cascades. Each vial provides 100 µl of liquid stock, sufficient for many standard experimental runs. Store refrigerated and protect from light to preserve antibody activity over multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Researchers commonly apply this antibody to studies of ZIP7-mediated zinc mobilization in immune cell activation, epithelial-mesenchymal transition systems, and cancer cell proliferation models where altered zinc transport has been implicated in disease progression.
