SLC2A4 Regulator (also referred to as GLUT4 enhancer factor, or GEF) is a nuclear transcriptional co-activator that engages the SLC2A4 promoter and modulates expression of the insulin-responsive glucose transporter GLUT4 in skeletal muscle, cardiac tissue, and adipose depots.
