This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets human SLC29A1 (equilibrative nucleoside transporter 1), supplied as 200 µL of liquid IgG antiserum suitable for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed tissue sections. SLC29A1 is a 12-transmembrane-domain facilitative transporter that mediates sodium-independent uptake of purine and pyrimidine nucleosides across the plasma membrane, and its recognition of nucleoside analog drugs such as gemcitabine and cytarabine makes the protein a key marker in studies of cancer cell drug uptake, chemotherapy response, and transporter-mediated resistance.

Validated for WB and IHC on human samples, the preparation carries no conjugated reporter, so it can be paired with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries chosen for a specific assay platform. Researchers working on adenosine signaling in cardiac and neurological tissues, on hepatocyte and erythrocyte nucleoside handling, on circadian and sleep-related physiology, and on the pharmacology of antimetabolite chemotherapy use anti-SLC29A1 antibodies to localize transporter expression in tissue sections and to track expression changes by Western blot.

Store refrigerated in the original vial to preserve IgG activity, aliquot if repeated use is planned to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light when handling conjugated detection reagents downstream. The polyclonal backbone offers multi-epitope recognition useful when probing truncated, partially denatured, or low-abundance SLC29A1 protein in research-use workflows.
