Anti-SLC26A2 Antibody

Solute carrier family 26 member 2 (SLC26A2), the sulfate anion transporter historically known as DTDST, is the target of this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com, supplied as a 200 µl volume in a liquid vial and validated for immunofluorescence (IF) on human samples. Because loss-of-function mutations in SLC26A2 cause a spectrum of autosomal recessive skeletal dysplasias—including diastrophic dysplasia, atelosteogenesis type II, achondrogenesis type 1B, and recessive multiple epiphyseal dysplasia—this antibody supports cell biology research into sulfate uptake, cartilage chondrocyte biology, and plasma-membrane transporter trafficking in patient-derived fibroblasts and disease models. The antigen shows a developmental expression pattern concentrated in cartilage, kidney, and selected epithelial tissues, and reported staining of the plasma-membrane compartment in human fibroblasts and bronchial epithelial cells is consistent with the protein's known subcellular localization. With reactivity restricted to human SLC26A2, the reagent is appropriate for comparative work between patient samples and matched controls in studies of chondrodysplasia mechanism.
