SLC25A11 is the mitochondrial inner-membrane oxoglutarate/malate carrier (OGC) that powers the malate-aspartate shuttle and moves reducing equivalents across the inner membrane during oxidative metabolism. The polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects this carrier in human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for western blot detection of endogenous protein in cell and tissue lysates.

The unconjugated preparation is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, in a 100 µL vial. Researchers studying mitochondrial transport, gluconeogenesis, urea cycle flux, or metabolic rewiring in tumors use this reagent to probe carrier expression levels alongside standard loading controls such as COX IV, VDAC1, β-actin, or GAPDH.

For handling, aliquot the antibody into single-use portions upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and keep working stocks refrigerated between uses; long-term storage at the temperature recommended in the supplied datasheet preserves binding activity. The polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage for partial degradation products and post-translational variants of SLC25A11, which is useful when comparing full-length carrier expression with cleaved or modified forms across model systems.
