Anti-SLC22A5 Antibody

Affinity-purified polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against human SLC22A5, also known as OCTN2, the high-affinity sodium-dependent carnitine transporter embedded in the plasma membrane. Supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated IgG preparation at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the 100 µl aliquot is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human, mouse, and rat specimens.

The reagent enables studies of cellular carnitine uptake, primary carnitine deficiency, and fatty acid oxidation across renal tubular epithelium, cardiomyocytes, and skeletal muscle fibers. The glycerol-rich buffer permits storage at -20 °C and tolerates repeated freeze-thaw cycles without loss of titer.

Used as a primary layer in immunostaining of frozen sections and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues, and as a probe for transporter regulation by PPAR-alpha agonists and dietary L-carnitine status. Each lot ships in a single vial format ready for dilution in standard antibody buffer before use.
