Produced in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal IgG, this Antibodies.com reagent targets human solute carrier family 22 member 17 (SLC22A17), a multi-pass transmembrane receptor also known as 24p3R or NGALR that binds lipocalin-2 (LCN2). The 200 µL affinity-purified antiserum is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative work across these species in both lysate and fixed-tissue formats.

Because the antibody is supplied unconjugated, laboratories can pair it with HRP-conjugated, biotinylated, or fluorophore-labeled secondary reagents selected for their preferred detection chemistry. The polyclonal format enables recognition of multiple epitopes on SLC22A17, an advantage when probing proteins subject to splice variation or post-translational modification, and the rabbit host background is well-matched to standard chromogenic and fluorescent IHC workflows.

Researchers working on iron homeostasis, inflammatory signaling, and apoptotic pathways use SLC22A17 detection to investigate renal injury models and several tumor types in which altered LCN2/24p3R signaling has been reported. Standard handling calls for aliquoting upon arrival and storage at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the reagent is supplied in a PBS-based buffer with 50% glycerol and 0.05% sodium azide for downstream assay compatibility. Each vial is intended for research use only and should be titrated empirically for individual lysate and section preparations.
