Anti-SLC1A6 Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com as a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, this unconjugated IgG antibody targets SLC1A6, the gene encoding excitatory amino acid transporter 4 (EAAT4), a high-affinity glutamate transporter localized predominantly to cerebellar Purkinje cells where it mediates synaptic clearance of excitatory neurotransmitter.

Validated for Western blot on lysates prepared from human, mouse, and rat tissues, the reagent supports comparative neuroscience studies of cerebellar transporter expression, analysis of brain-membrane fractions, and characterization of EAAT4 in heterologous expression systems. Supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot for research use only, the antibody pairs with standard HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents for downstream detection by chemiluminescence or fluorescence imaging of the EAAT4 band.
