The SLC19A3 protein, also referred to as thiamine transporter 2 (THTR2), is a plasma membrane carrier responsible for cellular uptake of thiamine (vitamin B1) and has been linked to biotin-thiamine-responsive basal ganglia disease and several inherited metabolic encephalopathies. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and was generated against the human SLC19A3 antigen for detection in Western blot workflows using cell lysates and tissue extracts. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated IgG in a vial, the reagent provides a research use only tool for investigators studying transporter biology, neuronal thiamine homeostasis, and the molecular basis of rare neurological disorders. The antibody is reactive with human samples and supports studies in neuroscience, metabolic disease research, and membrane transporter laboratories examining SLC19A3 expression, localization, and functional regulation in healthy versus diseased tissue contexts.
