Anti-SLC18A1 Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody targets human SLC18A1, the gene that encodes vesicular monoamine transporter 1 (VMAT1). VMAT1 loads monoamines such as serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine into secretory vesicles in neuroendocrine cells. Altered SLC18A1 activity has been investigated in relation to neuropsychiatric phenotypes and certain neuroendocrine tumor biology, making the protein a target of interest for basic and translational research programs.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows, the reagent supports lysate-based expression profiling as well as tissue-section localization of VMAT1.
