Anti-SLC16A2 Antibody

Offered by Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against SLC16A2 (also known as MCT8, monocarboxylate transporter 8), a thyroid hormone transporter implicated in Allan-Herndon-Dudley syndrome and X-linked intellectual disability. The product is supplied as50 µL of liquid at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as stabiliser. It is unconjugated, affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific immunogen chromatography, and the clonality is polyclonal (rabbit IgG). The immunogen is a synthetic peptide derived from the internal region of human SLC16A2, and the reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) detection of endogenous total SLC16A2 protein in human samples, with cross-reactivity reported for mouse and rat tissues. The vial is shipped on cold packs at 4 °C; upon arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
