Anti-Skp2 p45 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Skp2 p45 polyclonal antibody is supplied as a 50 µl liquid preparation at a concentration of 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. Raised in rabbit, the unconjugated polyclonal reagent was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, a synthesized peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human Skp2 p45 (corresponding to amino acids 366–415). It is of the IgG isotype and is validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence/immunocytochemistry (IF/ICC), and ELISA, with reactivity confirmed against human samples. The antibody is designed to detect endogenous levels of the Skp2 p45 protein (also known as F-box/LRR-repeat protein 1, FBL1 or FBXL1), an F-box component of the SCF ubiquitin ligase complex implicated in cell-cycle regulation via p27 degradation. For handling, the product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon delivery and stored at −20 °C, with avoidance of repeated freeze/thaw cycles; under these conditions it remains stable for at least one year. This reagent is suited to laboratories studying the ubiquitin–proteasome system, cell-cycle control, and the cyclin-A/CDK2-associated functions of Skp2 p45.
