Anti-SKP1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against human SKP1, this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets the S-phase kinase-associated protein 1, a core adaptor of the SCF (Skp1–Cullin–F-box) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex that drives ubiquitin-dependent turnover of cell cycle regulators. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µl of antiserum and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples.

SKP1 sits at the structural heart of SCF complex assembly, bridging variable F-box substrate receptors to a Cullin–RING scaffold, making it relevant to studies of the G1/S transition, p27 and cyclin-D proteolysis, and broader ubiquitin–proteasome biology. Researchers commonly deploy this reagent to probe total SKP1 levels in cancer cell lines, primary tissue sections, and gene-edited models lacking specific F-box proteins. Suggested western blot dilution is 1:500–1:2000, with optimization recommended for IHC on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue.
