SIX homeobox 3 (SIX3) is a homeodomain transcription factor required for vertebrate forebrain patterning and early eye-field specification, and loss-of-function mutations in the gene are linked to holoprosencephaly type 2. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the endogenous SIX3 protein and is listed for Western blot detection in human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, so it can be stored frozen at -20 °C and aliquoted to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. In research workflows it is used to probe how SIX3 represses Wnt signalling, drives optic vesicle formation, and shapes the anterior neural plate in developmental models.
