SIX1 (Sine Oculis Homeobox 1) is a homeodomain transcription factor that drives embryonic organogenesis and is frequently reactivated in cancer, where it contributes to proliferation, epithelial-mesenchymal transition and metastasis. This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against SIX1 and provided as an unconjugated 100 µl aliquot for Western blot detection of the endogenous protein in human and mouse samples. The polyclonal format recognises multiple epitopes along the SIX1 sequence, an advantage when probing transcription factors that may be expressed at low abundance or as distinct isoforms. Typical workflows resolve whole-cell or tissue lysates by SDS-PAGE, transfer to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes, and detect a band at the expected SIX1 molecular weight; milk or BSA-based blockers are commonly paired with a rabbit primary of this type, followed by an HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated anti-rabbit secondary. The antibody is intended for research use only and is well suited to studies of developmental biology, myogenesis, renal patterning, and oncology signalling pathways.
