Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this primary polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against the SIRT3 (sirtuin-3) target and is supplied as an unconjugated, affinity-purified preparation at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL aliquot. The formulation consists of phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 (no magnesium or calcium salts), containing 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.02% sodium azide as preservative, and 50% glycerol for cryoprotection. The antibody is designed to detect endogenous total SIRT3 in human, mouse, and rat samples, and is validated for Western blotting at dilutions of 1:500–1:2000 and immunohistochemistry. Reactivity across these three species makes the reagent well suited to comparative mitochondrial-metabolism studies, while the polyclonal format provides broad epitope coverage for reliable detection of the NAD-dependent deacetylase. The product is shipped on cold gel packs at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at −20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity. The immunogen used to generate the antibody is a synthetic peptide corresponding to human SIRT3, and purification was carried out by affinity chromatography against the immunogen to maximise specificity. Intended for research use only, this Antibodies.com reagent is offered in the convenient 50 µL pack size suitable for multiple blotting experiments.
