Offered through Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against the human SIRT1 protein and validated for ELISA, Western blotting (WB), and immunohistochemistry (IHC). The immunogen is a synthetic peptide derived from human SIRT1 surrounding the non-phosphorylation site of serine 47, allowing the antibody to detect endogenous levels of the target in both human and mouse samples. Supplied as an unconjugated liquid formulation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide at a working concentration of 1 mg/mL, the product is provided in a 50 µl volume and is intended for research use only. The host species is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal, and purification is carried out by affinity chromatography against the epitope-specific immunogen to minimise cross-reactivity. The conjugate is unconjugated, giving users maximum flexibility to pair the antibody with their preferred secondary detection reagent for chromogenic, fluorescent, or HRP-based assays. Shipping is performed on cold packs at 4°C, and upon receipt the vial should be aliquoted and stored at −20°C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity. The specificity profile of this reagent makes it well suited to studies exploring sirtuin-mediated regulation of chromatin structure, metabolism, and stress response, where reliable detection of endogenous SIRT1 across human and mouse model systems is required.
