This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes the SIRT1 (Sirtuin 1) protein, a NAD+-dependent class III histone deacetylase that regulates gene silencing, DNA repair, metabolism, and stress response. Raised in rabbit, the antibody is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl aliquot, ready for dilution into standard immunodetection workflows.

SIRT1 plays a central role in chromatin remodeling through deacetylation of histones H3 and H4 and of non-histone substrates such as p53, FOXO transcription factors, and NF-κB. The reagent has been validated across multiple readouts: Western blot for endogenous expression profiling, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry for subcellular localization (predominantly nuclear), immunoprecipitation for interaction studies, and ChIP for chromatin occupancy mapping.

Reactivity has been confirmed against human and rat samples. The polyclonal format offers broad epitope coverage on the target, useful when probing for isoform variation or post-translational modifications. Store frozen at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light.
