Anti-Shugoshin Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody specifically recognizes Shugoshin (Sgo1), a centromeric protective protein originally characterized in Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Shugoshin safeguards Rec8-containing cohesin complexes at centromeres during meiosis I, preventing premature loss of sister chromatid cohesion and ensuring accurate chromosome segregation.

The reagent is supplied as a 100 µl liquid formulation in a vial, unconjugated and raised in rabbit against the fission yeast antigen.
