Anti-SHP-2 (phospho-Y542) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognises SHP-2 only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 542. The unconjugated reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. It is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications and reacts with human, mouse and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human SHP-2 around the Tyr542 phosphorylation site, and the antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of SHP-2 protein only when that residue is phosphorylated. The expected molecular weight is approximately 70 kDa. The reagent was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, with a stated purity greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
